Sorry this is a little late coming up, it has been a most busy week! This was a suggestion by AnJanette for the lesson topic "How can I know my Heavenly Father." from the new Come Follow Me Curriculum.
In order to get ahead of myself rather than fall behind as well as create a consistent design for the rest of the year, I have created this "table of contents" or index of the upcoming year for the new curriculum. Like I mentioned in a earlier post, I am creating a topic poster, topic questions, and question slips for each month's topic. By popular request, I have also created a 3x5 note card template with space for the girls to record their thoughts about the topic, and then record assignments for the week. This will be handy for remembering what was studied the previous week.
But this can be good for the front of your notebook, to hang up in your class so everyone can know what is coming up, or whatever else you can think of using it for!
Thanks everyone for all the awesome ideas that have been coming in recently! I am very excited to execute them, and have really helped ease my work load. Keep them coming!
You also may have noticed that I changed up the blog design a little bit. I just thought it looked a bit dated, and my style has evolved quite a bit since I started well over a year ago, which you may have noticed in my handouts themselves. But even so, still the same holy handouts, just a different look!
For posterity's sake, here's the old banner:
and for future reference, the new:
So what do you think of the new look?
More handouts for this week's lesson to come in the next few days- hold tight!
Hello everyone, and please excuse my hiatus yet again. I'm sure we all had a busy past few months, but now I am back in business and ready to go.
Before I begin, I have an important announcement. Due to a large increase in freelance work for my design and illustration business over at liliribs.com, I will now be creating content for holyhandouts.com primarily based on submissions/ideas from my dear readers and followers. As much as I love researching the content for my handouts, I am also working on supporting my family too and that requires a lot of what free time I do have. But, I still want to provide handouts to help our young women (and anyone else) further their knowledge of the love God has for them.
So, if you have an idea for an upcoming lesson, simply fill out the form on the tab above or click here!
I will be creating a series of posters and other materials for each month/topic of the new LDS Youth Curriculum: Come Follow Me. These can be displayed in the classroom so that the youth can know what they will be discussing and pondering about all month.
Here is a graphic index of all the topics of the year:
The monthly material will include:
-Question slips (we have these available for girls to ask questions they may have on the topic.)
- 3x5 notecard template for girls to record notes and thoughts, as well as write down their "assignments" or "homework" for the week.
