Christmas Time!

Surely we will all have an opportunity to share a Christmas lesson in some form this season.  One of my favorite things to do at Christmas that we picked up from my husband's family is to write a letter to the Savior on Christmas Eve about what we want to give to Him each year.  They seal the letters up in envelopes (and decorate, if so desired) and put them in a stocking for safe keeping until next year, when you reopen your letter to see if you have made progress with your relationship with Christ.

Like the quote attached by Neal A. Maxwell, the only gift we have to give to the Lord is our hearts, which can be done in so many ways.  Through striving to apply to Atonement in our lives constantly, by giving service to others only to give the glory to God, even simply recognizing the blessings we have been given and expressing our gratitude in prayer to Him are just a few ways we can submit our will to God.

So, I would suggest to have your young women/children/whomever write a letter to the Savior about things they want to give him this year.  Perhaps they need to work on something that has been keeping the Spirit away, or they need to work on recognizing their individual worth as one of God's children.  There are so many ways we can give back to Him!

This is a great way to bring the focus back to the Lord during this season!  Merry Christmas all!

Just a little more about myself...

Creating these handouts has been such a great experience for me.  I have been able to ultimately grow spiritually from their creation (a lot of thought and research goes into each one of them) as well as increase my appreciation for design.

As a wife and mom at the age of 23, my greatest love is my family, but I am lucky enough that I can easily fit my love for design comfortably into my life.  I am just at the very beginning of my exciting journey as a designer!  Your support and appreciation for my designs have really been a great motivator and certainly helped jump start my future goals, so thank you all for that!

With that said, here's my little self promotion!

If you need help with design work of any kind, please contact me! I'll answer any questions you may have. I pride myself on a seriously fast turn around time, and a not to mention awesome prices.  But mostly I love helping other people's visions become a reality. I would be happy to have you as part of my awesome client base.

I do all varieties of design: Christmas cards, invites, custom illustrations, book covers, business cards, blog headers, posters, advertisements, wedding presents, basically anything that falls until the category of design.

Here is some of my work (note: unlike my handouts, these images ARE copyrighted, so please do not use them with out permission from me. Thanks!)

I also do photo editing and manipulations.

Logos are always a fun challenge.  When designing logos, I give you 3-5 different options to choose from!

I also do watercolor and hand drawn art.

Thanks for letting me show off a little bit!  Keep me in mind for your next project!  And keep coming back for more completely free handouts!
